Mari Mantela (born 1978) studied camera techniques before film directing studies at the Aalto University in Helsinki. 

Writer – director Mari Mantela has a strong visual style which often combines digital imagery with traditional and character driven storytelling.

Mantela´s medium length film An Autobiography (2017) won several international prizes and competed in Palm Springs Shortfest and Brooklyn Film Festival among other top rated festivals.

Since 2005 Mantela has worked internationally directing commercial productions.  She has directed over 300 commercial & corporate film productions shot in Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Portugal, Great Britain, Arab Emirates, and Croatia.
